Aldo Mozzini’s art embraces simplicity in both materials and a slightly quirky sense of poetry. Using basic materials, he reconstructs and caricatures complex issues within everyday contexts, offering a subtle commentary in the process.
His work was recently featured in the exhibition Z-Z at the (R)isse gallery in Varese, at Villa du Parc, Centre d’art Contemporain in Annemasse, and in group shows at Villa Bernasconi in Lancy, Kunst(Zeug)Haus in Rapperswil, and Kunstmuseum Luzern.
Aldo Mozzini (*1956) won the Swiss Art Award in 2019. In 2021, he presented a dual exhibition at Haus für Kunst Uri titled “The City in the Museum, Part I and Part II.” In 2024, his monograph “Casematte” was published in connection with the exhibition “Quasi una retrospettiva” at Casa Rusca in Lucano.
