Christa Baumgartner lives and works in Zurich. She studied stage design at the Stuttgart Art Academy and worked for several years in German theatres before returning to Zurich and working as a documentalist for various companies. She only resumed her artistic activities in 2003 in her own studio in Zurich Altstetten, where she can still be found every day.

In 2013, the Kresau 4 Foundation made it possible for her to attend further training at the Slade School of Fine Art in London and to produce the catalogue “Christa Baumgartner”.
