Patricia Bucher studied fine arts in Zurich and New York. She graduated with honours in 2001 and has worked as an artist ever since. Over the years, she has received numerous scholarships and awards.

At the intersection of artistic practice and architectural theory, she explores approaches that consider construction as a medium of reflection and transformation.

Here, construction is conceived as both an aesthetic and ethical project—one that inherently raises questions of power, identity, and responsibility.

By reversing familiar perspectives, she deconstructs conventional views of built structures and opens up space for unconventional interpretations.

Her work has been shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions. Among others, her pieces are part of the collections of the City and Canton of Zurich, as well as the Aargauer Kunsthaus.
