In Andrea Ehrat’s work, a fluid reality is made visible. Something uncertain, tactile, for example, along the fragments of figures embroidered with needle and thread. Together with Ehrat’s protagonists, there are also latent questions about the fragility of life. The artist is indeed interested in exploring people’s emotions and abysses and giving them a visual language. The body serves her as an instrument for communicating human emotions in all their restlessness and ambivalence.

Andrea Ehrat lives and works in Zurich/Marseille. She studied at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK).
