Ruth Handschin (1949–2020) established her reputation primarily through immersive, site-specific black-light installations. Drawing on her collection of botanical ‘little treasures’, she explored and animated the beauty and rich diversity of forms found in urban wild vegetation, transforming them into magical, experiential spaces. In parallel, she pursued this theme across a range of media, including drawings, cut-outs, and sculptural works. Conceived by guest curator Astrid Näff, the exhibition offers insight into this sustained exploration through a selection of works on paper.
