Werner Casty grew up in Graubünden, where he attended the teacher training seminar in Chur and later studied at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich. He is the founder and director of the Wetzikon Art School and its branch in Chur. His artistic activities include drawing, printmaking and objects. His work has been shown in exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad, most recently in Central Asia, Austria and Italy.

Werner Casty lives and works in Wetzikon near Zurich.
